Megaplex is looking for more help for this years convention in the following departments:

Convention Operations Assist attendees with general questions, Lost and Found and Charity Auction intake as well as help relay information between departments

Convention Operations - Gophers Help run things between departments at the con and assist as needed

Convention Operations - Information Desk Assist attendees with general questions

Creative Services - Theming Help plan and build theming elements for the convention. Must be local to Orlando area.

Hospitality Cook and/or Serve our Sponsors and staff in our Sponsor Lounges. Food handling experience a plus.

Sales - Convention Store Help our attendees get memorable keepsakes that they can take home with them.

Sales - Registration Help our attendees get through registration and get their gifts and conbooks.

Security Help us with Crowd control, Badge/ID checking and customer service.

Everyone bearing the title of "staff" is a dedicated volunteer member of our team who likes to really get involved with the convention. Staff members typically Volunteer at least 8 hours of their time, each day of the convention. Certain roles require availability before or after the convention as well. As a staff member you will be added to our staff intranet and telegram groups where you can lend your input and ideas as we plan and coordinate for the convention throughout the year.

Along with the warm fuzzy feeling that comes with helping, you'll also receive free attendance to the convention, access to the sponsor lounge, and staff-exclusive garb.

Please Note that all staff positions, including the Board of Directors, are volunteer positions and DO NOT receive financial compensation for hours worked. We do this because we want to give back to the community.

Please note that you must be 18 or older at the time of the convention to be on staff and must staff a minimum of 8 hours per day. If you are between the ages of 16-17 or do not believe you can commit the time required for staff, apply as a volunteer.
